Stefanie’s role at Van Veen Advocaten is that of insolvency assistant and administrator under the Debt Restructuring (Natural Persons) Act [Wet schuldsanering natuurlijke personen (WSNP)]. As an insolvency assistant, she supports the insolvency practitioners affiliated with the firm. As an administrator, Stefanie ensures that the debtor fulfils the obligations ensuing from the statutory debt restructuring scheme for natural persons.
The court appoints her as an administrator under the Debt Restructuring (Natural Persons) Act to generate as much income as possible for the creditors for a period of three years. Stefanie checks whether the debtor is fulfilling his or her obligations, manages the assets (belongings, income and expenditure) and notifies creditors and the court.
I think it's worthwhile implementing a scheme that offers people the possibility of a life without debt. A scheme that also focuses on the interests of the creditors.
